FREE TAX STAMPS HAVE ARRIVED
President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law on July 4th, 2025. SEC. 70436. REDUCTION OF TRANSFER AND MANUFACTURING TAXES FOR CERTAIN DEVICES of the OBBB has an efffective date of 90 days after the end of this quarter. That puts the law going into effect on January 1, 2026, shown below. However, there are no details on when the ATF Forms will be revised and the timeline for January 1, 2026. We will keep updating this page when updates are available.

DECEMBER 26TH, 2025
- Official Release - ATF eForm's Site is "still working" meaning, you can still use the ATF eForm's site to view approvals, update your profile, etc. But ATF eForm submissions are halted until January 1, 2026 while the ATF updates the ATF eForm system for the $0 tax stamps.
DECEMBER 10TH, 2025
- ATF eForms Site will be OFFLINE starting at midnight December 26th - If you need to submit any applications or use the ATF 5320.20, ATF eForm 3, etc. you will have until December 25th to do so. The ATF eForm's site will under maintance until the site comes back live on January 1st, 2026.
DECEMBER 6TH, 2025
- Free Tax Stamps - Shortening Your Gun Trust Name for Form 1 Engravings - This helps because you can transfer your firearms for free to your new gun trust that has a shorter name. However, the previously engraved firearms won't need to be updated. But future applications, can use the shortened name.
NOVEMBER 13TH, 2025
- ATF Releases eForm Industry Testing Site - The site is intended to allow members of the NFA industry to test their systems in anticipation of eForms changes necessitated by the implementation of system changes to the National Firearms Act effective January 1, 2026.
- Upon testing, it was revealed that the ATF will be adding Individual to Indivual ATF eForm 4's.

- Guam Makes History by Legalizing Firearm Suppressors. Guam became the first U.S. Territory to legalize suppressors, also know as silencers. This decision came by overriding Governor Lou Leon Guerrero's veto on July 31, 2025, when the legislature passed the Hearing Protection Act of 2025 - Bill No. 27-38.

- CONGRESSIONAL RECORD - SENATE S4543 - Senator Murphy submits a proposed amendment to bill H.R. 3944 to effectively raise the tax for making or trasnferring an NFA firearm to be $4,709, instead of the $200 current tax stamp cost. According to Senate Vote History on H.R. 3944, on August 1st, 2-25, the overall bill H.R. 3944 passed with a vote of 87-9. But the S.Amdt.2973 of concern were submitted but not sent to the floor to vote or debate on. They were tabled. That means that S.Amdt.2973 apparently will not be voted on or submitted in their current form. More information can be found here.
