NFA DIVISION IS NOW ACCEPTING SOT PAYMENTS FOR TY 2026

As a Federal Firearms Licensee, if you plan to engage in the business of importing, manufacturing, or dealing in National Firearms Act (NFA) firearms in the upcoming Tax Year (TY), your Special Tax Registration and Return, ATF Form 5630.7, is due by July 1, 2025.

The NFA Division is now accepting returns for TY 2026. The return and tax can be submitted online in four easy steps through Pay.gov:

  1. Go to Pay.gov (https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/885694833)
  2. Complete the ATF Special Occupational Tax (SOT) ATF Form 5630.7 (OMB# 1140-0090) Fillable Electronic Form
  3. Choose & Enter Payment Information from expanded payment options:
    • Bank Account (ACH)
    • Debit or credit card
    • Amazon account
    • PayPal account

4. Review & Submit

Pay.gov is a program of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service.
