Payment Methods Accepted by the ATF for the ATF Form 1, ATF eForm 1 and the ATF Form 4

When you are applying for your tax stamp, you will be required to pay $200 to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives for your tax stamp.  In this article we break down the forms of payment that are accepted for each application.  This might help you plan on the payment method that you will use for your ATF application(s). 

ATF Form 1 Application Payment Methods Accepted:

  • Check - $200 check will be made out to -  Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. 
  • Cashier's Check or Money Order - $200 cashier's check or money order will be made out to -  Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
  • Credit Card - The allowed credit cards for payment are: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club. 

ATF eForm 1 Application Payment Methods Accepted:

  • Plastic Card Payments (i.e Credit Cards) - The allowed plastic cards for payment are: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club. 

ATF Form 4 Application Payment Methods Accepted:

  • Check - $200 check will be made out to -  Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. 
  • Cashier's Check or Money Order - $200 cashier's check or money order will be made out to -  Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
  • Credit Card - The allowed credit cards for payment are: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club.
