Why Submitting Just One ATF eForm 4 Application Sometimes is Faster

When you are applying for a tax stamp, you can submit multiple applications at the same time, often referred to as, bundling or batch approvals. However, if you are still waiting for a bundled or batch approval for multiple applications, they can sometimes be delayed by the ATF.

How it works; when multiple applications are submitted to the ATF under an individual, gun trust or other legal entity, the applications are grouped together. They go to what the ATF calls, the “bundling queue”. The ATF has slower bundling queues and faster single application queues. That means now in many cases the bundled applications are now slower than single applications. In the past it was the opposite, bundled or batch approvals came faster than single applications.

Bundling can be beneficial for people who submit a bunch of applications of various types and applicant types, e.g. individual, gun trust or other legal entity. Once the examiner gets to a bundle, they will review each application within the bundle for the individual, gun trust or other legal entity regardless of how long the bundles have been waiting approval. A tip for a faster approval ATF eForm is to submit one at a time, the fast single application queues are being approved within hours or days, especially if you have never been arrested and get an instant proceed.
