BATFE NFA Branch Set To Shorten Paperwork Lag

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives NFA Branch plans to spend $13.2 million and add 25 new positions during Fiscal Year 2019 for additional equipment, software updates, contract support and NFA system modernizations. The enhancements are expected to reduce processing time for NFA applications to within a 90-day timeframe.
