eForm 1 No Model or Caliber Line Item Error

An error can occur on the line item page of the ATF eForm 1 application that can cause the application to crash when you try to finish the application.  The error involves the process of adding a firearm to your application.  This issue can happen whether you are making a short-barreled rifle or a silencer.  After you have finished the second page of adding the firearm to your application, you arrive at the third page that shows the line item summary of your firearm.  Here you will see that the model name or caliber is not shown.  You can still in some cases add the firearm and continue with your application, but this will cause your application to have an error.  To fix this issue, you may need to use a different model name from the drop down menu, shown below in the Sig MCX and MCX example.  You may need to also try a few times to add the firearm from the dropdown for the caliber to added.  Lastly, you can use the "my information is not in the list create a new item".  But that will cause your application to enter the pending research phase.
