Is my Texas Gun Trust Valid in Other States?

This is a question that we get asked frequently, "Is my Texas Gun Trust Valid in Other States?".  The answer is yes.  Whether you initially setup your gun trust in Texas, Florida, Arizona, etc, you are able to amend your gun trust to change the gun trust to a different county and state if you wanted to.  This amendment is included with our gun trust paperwork and might need to be requested by your original gun trust creator if you don't have an amendment like this.  If you aren't able to get a hold of your gun trust creator, you might need to restate your gun trust to change it to a new county and state.  You can also use your "Texas Gun Trust" to purchase NFA firearms in other states, if you have a co-trustee who resides in that other state or use the ATF 5320.20 to transport your NFA firearms to a different state or use that form to permanently move them to a different state.  An example of this might be a cabin, ranch or other residence that you want to have NFA firearms stored and used at.  In summation, you can amend your gun trust to changed to a different county and state if you move in the future.  You can also use the gun trust to purchase NFA firearms in other states if you have a co-trustee that resides within that state or use the ATF 5320.20 to transport your currently owned NFA firearms to a different state.
