Notice: eForm 4473 Application Download (Apple) Is Now Available

Due to changes in statutory requirements set forth previously by both the NICS Denial Notification Act and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA), and to reflect the implementation of ATF Final Rule 2021R-05F, ATF Form 4473 was revised in August of 2023. As members of regulated firearms industry, you were advised that the Revised Form became mandatory for use on February 1, 2024, and that it was available on ATF’s website for immediate download, print and use. Hard copies of the Revised Form continue to be available for order through ATF’s Distribution Center.

ATF is now pleased to announce that the Apple OS version of the ATF eForm 4473 application is available for download and use, effective immediately (April 29, 2024).  Included with this update, transferees/purchasers are now able to utilize their touchscreen, trackpad and/or mouse to affix their certifying signature to the form.

For a detailed breakdown of all form changes, please visit the “Updated ATF Form 4473 (August 2023 revisions)” landing page on the ATF.gov website. Please contact your local ATF Industry Operations office should you have any questions regarding the changes to the form.
