The Classic Oil Filer Silencer / Suppressor is shown off in this video and it works actually amazingly well. Â This attachment comes from Econo-Can....
Supression: Silencers reduce the noise by giving gases a larger, contained space to dissipate and cool before exiting. Â Internal baffles (1) divide the silencer into various expansion chambers (2) for maximum efficiency.
Very interesting to see what a silencer actually looks like being fired with a see through silencer. You can actually see the exhaust gasses expanding into the chambers within the silencer.
We fired 700 rounds in one continuous burst through a full-auto M249 saw. The can ended up breaking around the 350-400 round mark. The gun itself ran wonderful and had no problems.
After firing there is a high-pressure of expanding gas from the propellant. Â The suppressor consists of a series of chambers, which captures the high-pressure gas, giving it space to cool and dissipate.
