The ATF 5330.20 form was used to certify the citizenship of the applicants who were applying for an ATF Tax Stamp. However, the ATF has revised the ATF 5320.1, the ATF 5320.4 and the ATF 5320.5 to incorporate the language from the ATF 5330.20 paperwork. Now there is no need to include the ATF 5330.20 paperwork with your ATF Tax Stamp applications.
Already we are hearing that ATF applications are being approved as of today. Our customers are reporting to us that their ATF Form 1 and/or ATF 5320.20 applications are being approved.
When you are measuring the OAL of your SBR, for your ATF Form 1 or your ATF Form 4 you will need to measure the total length of your SBR with the stock fully extended.
No need to worry, the ATF examiner for your application will email you about this issue. The examiner will request via email for you to send in the the cover letter that does contain the control number and the barcode.
As the Federal Government shutdown drags on, with an unclear reopen date or timeframe, the ATF has stopped processing all NFA paperwork. The submitted ATF Form 1's, ATF eForm 1's, ATF Form 3's, ATF Form 4's, ATF Form 5's, ATF 5320.20's are not being approved, or being reviewed now.
If your eForm 1 is pending research this isn't an issue. You will need to wait for the ATF to email your submitted application which you should receive in 2 to 10 business days after their research is concluded.
